So far, my experience has been really good. Their pizza is delicious and the staff are friendly enough not to turn me away from the place. I would recommend the Chicken Bacon Ranch Pizza, it is delicious. I would totally recommend that you try it, and I would tell my friends the same thing.

Doesn't matter if I order or stop in. I've had the pleasure to speak with the owner and I love the business. They are one of my favorite places to order from. Pizza by the slice is huge, and they have pretty amazing wet burritos. So a side from just ordering a pizza they have variety to keep up. Definitely will be spending my money with Mr. Pizza in the future.

So I walked in to get a quick "pizza by the slice"... To-Go. Was in a hurry. They took my $1.75 and I waited for 8 minutes... Huh? How the hell does that work? Did they have to actually cook the slice of pizza? Employees just chatted amongst themselves with no apology or explanation... And the order was actually incorrect. Just below decent tasting, I suppose. Yeah, screw this place.

I just ate their cinnamon sticks and OMG were they delicious. It was my first time ordering and desserty type item from them and I was not disappointed. I have been coming here for a long time for their pizzas and those are good too. Bonus - they are open late night!

listen to the guy who said this pizza is like a butt cheek! why isn't there more bad reviews for this place? we had just moved to grand rapids, just got the keys to our apartment, spent the entire evening unpacking and by the time we realized we hadn't ate it was already going on 3am. so the only bonus of this place, it was open late and delivered. the bread sticks were meh, but we ate them. the pizza was gross. we had to add spices to it and recook it to make it edible. my brother, who loves pizza, visited us the next day and we offered him some but he went and got subway instead. i cannot emphasize enough not to listen to the positive reviews here. maybe these people just don't care what kind of pizza they eat or would give a McDonalds a four star, but if you're a foodie or a pizza connoisseur, DO NOT GO HERE. the only benefit of this place is its late hours, but after living in grand rapids for a few months i would rather go to fratellis on bridge street, which is open just as late and is like 1000xs better.

What can I say? I'm a huge fan. Every time I've ever ordered it has been correct. Even though it's quite far away they are always timely even on a busy weekend. The pie is ALWAYS DELICIOUS. The sauce is one of the best in the area. Picked up two 24" pies tonight to feed the army that came over for the fight and I definitely made the right decision. Had a buy one get one free coupon to boot so it didn't break the bank either. Definitely a pizza you can get your friends hooked on after one try.

We aren't from the Grand Rapids area but we wanted good pizza, at 3am. So we took a shot in the dark and picked one of the few places open this late... And it was so worth it! The pizza was hot when it was delivered and tasted amazing! Highly recommend this place! And the lady who delivered it was so sweet!

Last night was not a good night for food for me. I had a horrible experience at Empire Buffet for dinner (which I already reviewed) and stopped by Mr. Pizza for a late night snack because I was craving some pizza. This was my first time coming to Pizza King and I stopped by because I knew they were open, and saw that they served pizza by the slice. I am generally wary about pizza by the slice because sometimes you are lucky and get fresh pizza, and sometimes it's pizza that has been sitting in a warmer all day. Well I ordered 2 slices of pepperoni pizza, which was cheap costing only $3.50. What I had not expected was having to wait about 10 minutes for my 2 slices. When I received my pizza, I was surprised because I could tell that they cooked the 2 slices fresh, which is about the only good thing I have to say about the pizza. When I took a bite all I tasted was cheese. I love cheese, but there was way too much on the pizza. All of the cheese would not have been so bad, except there was hardly any sauce on the pizza at all. I literally could not taste any sauce, and if I couldn't see a little bit by the crust I would not even known there was any sauce on the pizza. When I got to the crust and actually tasted the little bit of sauce I could see, it did not have a good flavor. It was bland and pretty much tasted like a canned sauce. Since it was my first experience I will probably try it again to be fair, but as of now I would not recommend it, and would recommend going to Rinnaldi's not too far away for a slice instead.

I like pizza. I like delicious, traditional artisanal pizzas; mediocre, mass-produced chain pizzas; and even bad, oily frozen pizzas you can find at Shell stations. Not all pizzas are created equal, of course, but almost never will I bite into a slice and groan with disgust. With that in mind, then, I suppose congratulations of a sort are in order for Mr. Pizza, because they achieved the implausible: I did groan with disgust, and I did come close to spitting it out. I ordered a basic pepperoni, sausage, and mushroom ensemble. When I got home and opened the box, I could almost hear Han Solo warning, "I've got a bad feeling about this." Staring back at me was a sea of white, pure as a first snow. At no place on this albino surface had the cheese even begun to brown. It looked like a giant buttcheek that had never seen the sun. Well, a giant buttcheek peppered with slightly darker bumps, due to the sausage and mushrooms. Anyway, I warily took a bite. And it's hard to accurately describe the texture of that goo, but let's try this: it was like biting into a layer of lukewarm, salted Gak. A substance in a vile state between liquid and solid that managed to be slimy and somehow almost mealy at the same time, and unfortunately was in no short supply. Honestly the most disgusting manifestation of cheese I've ever consumed, and that includes a fancy variety once that may as well have been dirty feet. The mushrooms were canned, the sausage dry and flavorless, and the sauce--well, it was red, so I guess there were probably tomatoes used at some point in its creation. If I were forced to name one redeeming factor, it would be that they lightly seasoned the crust. Whee. Please take my word on this. Save your money, and buy a Jeno's or Red Baron instead.

I would have loved to give Mr. Pizza more than two stars based on the over all taste of their pizza... and taste alone.. but unfortunately I have to give them two stars. We have ordered Mr. Pizza many times because it is conveniently open very late and the pizza is good. EVERY TIME we order from them.. they either forget something, or something on our pizza is wrong.. I guess we could put the blame on whoever it is that takes the phone orders.. because you would think that they were dealing wiith rocket science. Last night, we ordered two small pizzas, and an order of potato wedges... we were on the phone for probably 10 minutes... having them try to figure it out. That wasn't even a big order!! I asked for pepperoni, mushroom, and jalapeno on my pizza... I got pepperoni, pineapple, and jalapeno... COMPLETELY ruined the pizza... Pineapple? Really? Why not just throw some anchovies on there. They brought my friends potato wedges, and forgot both the sour cream AND the ranch... who wants to eat those things dry? I don't recommend ordering from here unless it is your last resort.. and you CHECK your order before the delivery boy leaves.
